How Effective Are Emotional Freedom Tapping Techniques in Addressing Limiting Beliefs in Females With Unexplained Infertility
The study's objective is to investigate the impact of Energy EFT (also known as Modern Energy Tapping) as a primary care solution to address limiting beliefs in women experiencing unexplained infertility. Before 2017, quantitative studies and techniques lacked measuring beliefs about infertility. The research's objective was to determine whether Energy EFT effectively addressed limiting beliefs in females with unexplained infertility. Thirty-five of the 43 volunteers were involved. Seventeen were randomly assigned to the intervention group and 18 to the control group. The intervention group participants attended two 90-minute online Energy EFT sessions over two weeks, supported by an instructional EFT tapping sheet and video protocol. Data was collected via a website curated for the study containing a consent form, a demographic survey, and the Fertility Belief Questionnaire (FBQ), which participants completed pre-, post-, and one month after the research intervention. The t-test was utilized to examine and analyze the data. Analysis revealed that the intervention group showed a statistically significant reduction in negative beliefs about infertility compared with the control group. Furthermore, there was a significant difference in the SUE (Subjective Units of Experience) scale before and after the tapping intervention. The findings support the hypothesis that Energy EFT is an effective behavioral intervention for reducing limiting beliefs in women
facing unexplained infertility. The study contributes valuable insights into addressing the psychological aspects of infertility, emphasizing the potential of Energy EFT as a therapeutic approach in this context.
