Abstract
Effective on their own, both Lifestyle Prescriptions® and The Five Element Theory as practiced under the broad ambit of Traditional Chinese Medicine have produced unique and impactful results in addressing illness and symptoms. The current study creates and examines a unique hybrid model that combines Lifestyle Prescriptions® and the Five Element Theory from Traditional Chinese Medicine through a qualitative analysis. Through five case studies, the study evaluates the effectiveness of using these modalities in combination, in ways that complement and support the creation of wholesome outcomes for individuals pursuing well-being. The findings show that the Five Element Theory and Lifestyle Prescriptions work well in combination, and support trauma release, balance restoration, and release of symptoms in a range of situations. The study also explores the limitations of the hybrid model and adds to the literature through its insightful findings while also making a comprehensive case for future research in this direction.
