Abstract:
The objective behind this work is to analyse different aerofoils and study their flutter
behaviour and the trying to understand the influence the aerofoil parameters has on the
dynamic aero-elastic behaviour of the wing that is constructed by that aerofoil. In an
attempt to understand this, wings of same span and chord dimensions are constructed
using different aerofoil sections which have different camber locations. One way FSI
analysis was performed and the mode frequencies were extracted to observe the flutter
of the wing. An attempt to understand the impact the aerofoil shape has on the wing
flutter is made by selecting different aerofoil sections that has a varying camber location
from the leading edge.
