Factors influencing Food price products at Juba, South Sudan market: Implication and Recommendation for Government intervention

Food price inflation has become a global issue. The study here is investigating the factors influencing the price of products at Juba market, South Sudan, and the questions to be answered are 1) What are the factors inflating food price in Juba market?2) What are the effects of high food prices to the households in Juba? 3) How local food production has contributed to high food prices in Juba market? 4) What can be done to stabilize high food price at Juba market? The aim of the study is to identify the factor inflating the price at the local market in Juba and recommend some measures to be taken. Qualitative method has been used to collect data where questionnaire sent participants, focus group discussion conducted to households and other information collected through researcher’s observation.
