IMPACT ON ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS POST COVID USING E-LEARNING MECHANISM DURING COVID
Higher education institutions across the world swapped to E-learning mode in times of COVID to avoid the discontinuance of education. No doubt, this mode helped the educational
institutions teachers to cover the content as per the convenience of the content but had severe consequences on the academic performance of the students once it revived back to normal. This humungous change disrupted the entire learning system and resulted in problem of adopting the same. Not only the learning system was alternated to the online mode but also the evaluation mechanism was interchanged to the same mode. Though the entire world was struggling to provide unwavering support to the learners and was ensuring ceaseless conduct of learning, but it also resulted in unbalanced equilibrium towards learning and understanding. This significant efflux of e-learning using digital learning platform carried it tremors post pandemic. Thus, once this pandemic subsided and learning mechanism resumed back to normal using traditional mechanism the impact was quite noticeable when the students were unanswerable to the topic covered during e-learning mechanism. A comprehensive search was conducted on multiple databases for the relevant studies
published. Furthermore, reference lists of studies associated with previous research were used to fetch additional relevant studies. The search terms used were Covid-19, E-learning,
academic performance, post covid, university students. An insertion and exclusion measure were taken to shortlist the most relevant articles for final review. Studies were taken into
consideration if they inscribed higher education e-learning, challenges and opportunities during and after pandemic.
