Abstract
Population ageing has emerged as one of the most significant demographic and social challenges of the twenty-first century. Hong Kong, which enjoys one of the highest life expectancies in the world, is experiencing a rapidly ageing population characterised by declining fertility rates, increasing longevity, and a growing proportion of residents aged 65 and above. Against this backdrop, traditional property management services are facing increasing pressure to evolve beyond their conventional functions of security, maintenance, cleaning, and facilities management. This study explores the feasibility and potential dimensions of integrating elderly services into property management practices, aiming to identify new service opportunities that better address the changing needs of ageing communities.
