Unraveling the Dynamics of Office Politics and Understanding Its Impact on Employees

Office politics is a neglected topic in many organizations worldwide, even though the corporate office suffers from this toxic environment and behavior. Management needs to make more effort to eradicate and address the matter. This paper attempts to discover the challenges professionals face because of workplace politics in different job levels of organizations, from small and midsize to conglomerates. In addition, the model was found on the basis of survey participants' responses, leading to the conclusion that individuals practice party politics for a variety of reasons, such as power, resources, knowledge, authority and securing their position.
